Code Principles

• Simplicity: Write simple, straightforward code
• Readability: Make code easy to understand
• Maintainability: Write code that's easy to update

• NEVER write comments - code should be self-documenting

Layout

• src/t3code_mcp - FastMCP server: config.py (machines from TOML), t3.py (HTTP client for a T3 Code server), server.py (tools)
• t3code.example.toml - config template; tokens come from env only
• docs/PROGRESS.md - keep current

Checking commands

After writing code, always run (or make check):

ruff format          # python formatter
ruff check --fix     # python linter
ty check             # python type-checker
pytest -q

Dependencies: uv add, never edit lock files by hand.
